Teamwork

Once I've read the report about teamwork written in English. Now I realized that the word teamwork might have the closest meaning for the Japanese word wa:和 which typically stands for the trait of Japanese nation in both negative and positive aspects. And I believe something very essential which most Japanese people have never realized was written in that report.

According to the report, some researchers tried to find out the effect that environment gives to the workforce, changing some environmental variables such as light, and measured workers' productivity. As the result they found something very profound: environmental variables are far less important than teamwork. I think it is not so difficult for many Japanese to understand it without mentioning any reasons because we had overcome lots of difficulties even how poor our environmental conditions were.

And indeed Japanese people have just been focusing on having strong internal bonds within the team so far and even at present. But some researchers in the US also found a further interesting fact while we just focused on it. What they found was that external relationships of the team is also as important as internal bonds. External relationships are something like elements between the team and the outside, such as bonds with closer customers or upper management, or introduction of some innovative ideas and approaches from outside. They've had some experiments and already proved that it is really essential when we make use of the teamwork practically. And also the researchers stress that the knowledge-driven economy of today relies more on loose hierarchies rather than tightly controlled centralized authority.

Do you understand why I cited the report on the teamwork mentioned above? I've never heard anything about external relationships of the wa:和 from those who have insisted on building up strong bonds of it in this country. And as you know Japanese government which is composed of the LDP members has just persisted in centralized authority ignoring the importance of decentralization. I know, what's the fact is that they are just worried about losing political power of themselves and the system of collecting money they've relied on.

後ほど参考までにcorrectionしてもらった文章も載せるつもりです。この段階で読んでも中味は理解してもらえる...程度の英文にはなっていると思います。この記事、自分の英語学習という意味合いもありますが、実際内容も結構プロファウンドなつもりです(*^▽^*)。ネトウヨ達からは、よくも恥ずかしげもなく下手な英文を載せられると言われてしまうでしょう。そこは私とネトウヨちゃんの違いです。恥ずかしくありません。私はネイティブではありませんから。この前ツイッターを見ていたら「日本人は英語が話せない、しかしそれは日本が一度も英米の植民地になっていないからだ。誇りにしよう。」みたいな事を言ってた人がいました。しかし日本語って以前書いたように実はとっくにクレオールなんですね。学ぼうとしないのは恥ずかしい以前に悲しいですね。(2015/12/7)

ということで下記が添削してもらった版です。中身の論理的不整合は見逃して貰い文法的な最低限レベルの添削だと思います。私の英会話の先生は大甘なのです。それでもこんなけ間違いがありますから(*^▽^*)。

と、人のことを言える立場ではないのですが、それでも言います。高校3年生にとってはもうセンター試験のシーズンとなるのですが、よって進学校では毎週のように模擬テストをしているのですが、それが全然ダメ。学校が毎週模擬テストをやらせる意味が不明すぎる。英語に関しては模擬テストなんて千回やったって無駄ですよ。テストをやったのち英文をしっかり解釈して、その後何十回も音読して初めて英語力は向上するのです。それをしないでテストを繰り返してどうなるの?例えば私の場合、TOEICの勉強をするとして、問題を解くのは勉強の行程としては全部の10%です。その後しっかり解釈して何度も口が疲れるまで音読する。しかもタイムを測って。それを繰り返すことで英語を日本語に変換せずに直で理解できる能力が得られるのです。多分、高校で無意味な模擬テストを毎週させる理由は単なるアリバイ工作ですよ。うちの高校は生徒にこんなけ勉強をやらせてますよ...みたいな。おかげでテストをしても生徒たちの成績は全く良くはならず、むしろこの大切な時期に無駄な時間を毎回取られるので徐々に落ちていく。これが現実です。はっきり言って、高校教師たち自体がまともに英語学習したことがないのでしょう。これが日本の英語教育のレベルです。
